FEL Benefits and Older Workers

Policy

Workers who are 65 years of age or older and injured are entitled to compensation benefits until the date of Maximum Medical Recovery (MMR) because temporary disability ends on this date. These workers are not entitled to benefits for future economic loss (FEL).

Application date

This policy applies to all decisions made on or after January 1, 1991, for accidents from January 2, 1990 to December 31, 1997.
