We know that small business owners like you are busy running your business, so we want to make sure interacting with us is easy and convenient. That’s why we have an expanding suite of eServices that enable you to register, report payroll, file a claim and get a clearance certificate all online, available whenever you need it.
Employer Service Centre
We also have an Employer Service Centre (ESC) to deliver account-related services to Ontario employers. With teams across the province, the ESC provides a range of services during the life of an account, from registering accounts, providing clearance certificates, employer account inquiries and walk in interviews.

Small Business Health and Safety Programs
We offer health and safety programs, services and resources customized for small businesses. Our Small Business Health and Safety Programs help you to:
- connect with one of our regional health and safety consultant at a free information session;
- learn about your health and safety and return-to-work responsibilities; and
- build your health and safety program with free resources and on-site support.
Participation in the program can also earn you a one-time five per cent rebate on your previous year’s premium.
Small Business Health & Safety Leadership Awards
Helping small businesses instill a culture of health and safety is a top WSIB priority. We understand the unique challenges of running a small business and the commitment you make to implement a robust health and safety management system.
Our new Small Business Health and Safety Leadership Awards recognize outstanding achievement in establishing health and safety programs in businesses with fewer than 50 employees.
Mandatory coverage in the construction industry
Starting January 1, 2013, WSIB coverage is mandatory for independent operators, sole proprietors, partners in a partnership and executive officers in a corporation who work in or carry on a business in construction.
Most will have to register with us (some exemptions apply).
