Getting your cheque
If you receive claim payments by cheque, we are sending them by courier, where possible, and you should get them in 10 to 15 business days. Cheques that can't be delivered by courier will be sent by mail.
Appealing a decision
We will extend appeals timelines due to the Canada Post disruption. We’ll determine the timeline of the extension once we know more about the duration of the disruption.
Receiving access to your file
We’ll send copies of claim files by mail, where possible. It may take longer than usual. Please contact us if you need a copy of your claim file.
Receiving letters and documents
We are sending correspondence like letters and forms by mail. These may take longer than usual.
Minimizing the impact of the service disruption
- People with claims can:
- report an injury or illness online
- sign up for direct deposit for wage-loss benefit payments
- get information about claims anytime including status, checking benefits and payment information online
- submit requests for reimbursement of health care or drug related expenses online
- apply for a clothing allowance or submit return to work expenses. Please keep the original receipt for your records if you’re submitting a scanned copy or photo of a receipt.
- Businesses:
- report an injury or illness online, please avoid using a PDF copy.
- use our online services to submit information, send us a message, report premiums or make a payment.
- Health care providers:
- sign up for direct deposit and use our online, fax and telephone services to submit information.
