Business to Business Form 7

Please note: On January 1, 2020, our new premium rate-setting model goes live for businesses. All B2B Form 7 users are required to download the new form 7 schema to submit forms to the WSIB.

What is the B2B Form7?

Business to Business Form 7 (B2B Form 7) provides an electronic, secure and efficient channel to submit an Employer's Report of Injury/Disease (Form 7).

The B2BF7 eService allows employers to use a Human Resource Management System (HRMS) or a similar Occupational Injury/Incident/Disease Management and Reporting (OIIDMR) application to capture all the information contained on a Form 7 electronically, and then submit it to the WSIB over the Internet.

Who can use this eService?

Employers with commercial HRMS, OIIDMR systems or in-house-developed systems (generally larger employers) will be able to use the eService to submit Form 7 data to the WSIB. Employers may want to check with their software vendor as to when their product will be capable of using the B2B Form 7 channel.

How can I check to see if my system is compatible with this eService?

Check with your IT department or the vendor for your system to determine if the version you are using is compatible.

The WSIB provides a Specification Confirmation Service for developers to test their systems' ability to 1) log on and 2) submit an electronic version of the Form 7 that adheres to the published specifications.

What are the technical requirements?

This document (PDF) and zip file (zip) identify all the specifications and guidelines involved in using the B2B Form 7 channel and the B2B Form 7 Specification Confirmation Service.

Who pays for the systems development work required to use this eChannel?

Participation in the development or use of this eService is the financial responsibility of the employer and/or vendor. The WSIB will not provide any financial support to employers or vendors wishing to take advantage of this reporting channel.

Who can I call if I have a question or problem?
