One WSIB

Ask any of our team members and they’ll tell you there’s something special about working at the WSIB. We’re proud to have built a culture over the past 100 years that is based on collaboration and strong relationships. Here are some highlights of life at the WSIB.

Equity, diversity and inclusion

Two of our greatest strengths are our people and our collective desire to make Ontario a safer and healthier place to live and work. We also have an opportunity to model and grow a more equitable society.

At the WSIB, we are committed to a workplace that represents the diverse population we serve. We strive to build an environment where everyone feels safe, included and respected—where you feel a sense of belonging. We also continue to design inclusive and equitable programs and services for people who have experienced a work-related injury or illness.

We are proud to be an organization that makes equity, diversity and inclusion a priority. You can read more about our aspirations in our Building a Culture of Belonging: Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy. Making our strategy accessible to the public increases transparency around our efforts to hold ourselves accountable for taking action.

Recognition

In addition to the comprehensive benefits we provide for employees, we also recognize our peoples’ talents and efforts. Our corporate recognition program includes a number of formal and informal initiatives. Our culture of appreciation will see you recognized for your ideas and valued for the perspectives you bring.

Performance management

A performance-based culture promotes individual development, growth and success and underpins our collective success. Our performance management process includes objective setting, performance assessment, regular and ongoing feedback and development planning.

Corporate social responsibility

We believe we all have a role to play in making our world--and our neighbourhoods—strong and healthy. Our approach to corporate social responsibility is to deliver social, environmental and economic benefits for our employees, the people we serve, and all of Ontario. We’re proud to have our employees directly involved with a number of key initiatives including: United Way, Second Harvest, Take Our Kids to Work Day and Canadian blood services.
