Overview
Over the past 10 years, the number of Schedule 2 businesses has decreased by 1% per cent and the number of people covered by the WSIB has increased by approximately nine per cent. In addition, the percentage of people in Ontario’s workforce covered for these businesses has increased to 11 per cent.
Comparing 2020 with 2019, Schedule 2 businesses saw a significant decrease in registered injury and illness claims largely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
