Premium Estimators

Depending on the nature of your business activity, determining your premium can sometimes be a challenge.

To help you learn how to determine your premiums, we’ve built two premium estimators that will take you through the various steps involved in calculating your premiums.

These estimators are intended to be used as estimates and learning tools only.

If you would like help, or have questions about calculating or reporting your premiums, please contact us.

General Premium Estimator for all industries

Use this estimator if you/your business is not involved in the construction industry.

To use the estimator you will need:

  • The estimated insurable earnings for all workers
  • The rate group number assigned to your WSIB account (if available). If you do not know your rate group number, review the rate group descriptions in the WSIB’s Employer Classification Manual. This estimator will help you to estimate your premiums one rate group at a time.
